Event Description:
Members are invited to join us for a Networking over Coffee with Cambridge Community House, where we will hear General Manager Harriet Dixon speak about services provided to the community and the extension project.
- Cambridge Community House is a charitable trust, the only social and family services provider in Cambridge and surrounds, our doors have been open since 1985. We support our community to enable people to make positive changes in their own lives, by providing support, education and resources. We provide a wrap-around service, meeting both their physical and mental wellbeing needs. We aim to walk alongside people and support them to manage the challenges they are experiencing. Most of the services we provide are free or heavily subsidised:
- general counselling
- family/whanau counselling
- drug and alcohol counselling
- family violence intervention and support
- financial mentoring
- food bank referrals and food parcels from Kaivolution
- adult literacy programmes
- second hand school uniforms
- support for mental wellness
- healthy relationship promotion
- probation services onsite
- referral to other organisations for support
